Goose and Duck Hunting

We offer a variety of waterfowl hunting trips, and combo trips with fly fishing.  We offer guiding only trips, or packages including guiding, accommodation, meals, shells, licences, and bird processing.  All packages can be enhanced by adding an upgrade to luxury accommodation, shells, bird processing, shotguns and licences.

We generally only hunt fields for both geese and ducks out of Final Approach Pro Guide XL laydown blinds.  Mornings find us hunting huge Alberta Honkers exclusively over Dave Smith Decoys.  Once limits are reached, we pack up, take pictures, and head out for a late breakfast or an early lunch.  After we eat, there is usually time to head back to the hotel for a nap.  Late in the day we head out to field hunt ducks over motion decoys and GHG fully flocked duck decoys.  Whenever possible we try to shoot drake limits to make the hunt more interesting and fun!

Our spread consists of 200 Dave Smith Goose Decoys, a dozen Mojos, 200 GHG Duck Decoys, and Final Approach Pro Guide XL bllinds.

Packages

All packages include hunting in pre-scouted fields with our professional guides who will take care of setting the decoys, calling, flagging, and running the dogs.

Drake Package - Guiding only
Honker Package - Guiding, Accommodation, Meals, Non Alchoholic Beverages.
Banded Package - Honker Package plus Steel Shot, Bird Processing, and Licences

We generally offer these packages in 1-Day, 3-Day, or 6-Day hunts, but can tailor a package for you for any combination of days. Call and let us know what length of trip you would like.

Cast and Blast #1 - If you would like to add in a day of fly fishing in the middle or on either end of your hunting trip, you can find all the information you need at www.bowriverflyfishing.com.
Cast and Blast #2 - Starting November 1st we can hunt while we float down the river and can combine fly fishing and hunting.  Prices vary depending on number of hunters.  Contact us for details.

Upgrades

Accommodaiton is based on Double Occupancy - Single Occupancy is available for an additional charge.
Upgrade to Luxury Accommodation - $70 per day per person.
Upgrade to Hevi-shot for $15 per box.
Bird Processing is available for $4 per duck and $6 per goose. All birds must be processed by you or by us.
Shells are available at market prices.
Benelli Super Black Eagle IIs are available for $100 per day.

Provincial Waterfowl Certificate - $78.50 (non-resident aliens only)

Logistics

50% deposit is due at time of booking to reserve your trip. Balance is due 8 weeks before your trip.

Gratuities are optional, and appreciated. Gratuities are usually between 10% and 20% of the cost of your trip.

Once you book, we will forward you a hunting contract plus everything you need to know to import your firearms and ammunition, as well as any relevant laws and regulations. We can purchase your licenses ahead of time, or you can purchase them when you arrive.
