Come Hunting with Us

All trips include your professional goose hunting guide(s) calling for you in pre-scouted fields.  Food and drink is provided according to what package you choose below.  If you have any allergies or food preferences (e.g. veggie, diet soda), please discuss this with us prior to the trip in order for us to ensure your satisfaction.  Please bring your favorite field and/or marsh camouflage, an insulation layer, warm boots, gloves, hat and face mask.  Bring your favorite shotgun and spare, or rent a Benelli SBEII from us for $100 a day.

Beginners are welcome as we will show you the ropes of how to set up a field, how to pattern birds, how to choose the number of decoys to use and what size shot to load your gun with.  We will go over gun and hunting safety with everyone.

Families are encouraged, as bringing your son or daughter is a great way to introduce them to this great sport while passing down some of our heritage.  They will be hooked immediately with all the action.  Youngsters can shoot or just watch depending on their age.

Trip Information
We offer a first class experience with great food, professional guides, and all the gear you require - including shells!  Trips begin at your hotel where your guide will provide you with you licenses before your drive to the field.  Your guide will have warm breakfast sandwiches, coffee, hot chocolate and apples cider to start your day off right.  Pick-up time will vary according to sunrise, we like to get in the field and set up with lots of time to spare to insure we are ready at legal light.  We'll shoot until tags are full, and then pack up the trailer and head in for lunch and some relaxation, maybe even a nap.  In the afternoon, we will go on either a duck shoot, or will head to a field for some trap shooting with our competition trap thrower.  Once we are done with our afternoon shoot, we will have a hearty dinner and then return you to your hotel.  You will sleep very well after a day of excitement and fresh air!  Minimum 4 people per group.  Call if you have a smaller group or are a single, and we will try to pair you up with other hunters.

We offer a traditional hunt, with all our duck decoys carved from wood and cork by world famous carver Clint Taylor.

3-Day Hunt
Over the course of three days, you will have three morning field goose hunts, and two afternoon duck shoots or trap events.

6-day trips are great, because the guides really get to know you and your ability, and can take you to places to match your skill level.  Expect six morning field goose hunts, and five afternoon duck shoots or trap events.

Corporate Day Hunt
Corporate Day Trips are a great team building experience.  Lots of companies that do a day of corporate fly fishing with us in the summer come back for a day of goose hunting in the fall.  It is usually something that most, if not all, people on the trip have not done.  Learning curves are steep and everybody works together with set up and take down of the decoys and blinds.  A lot of laughs are had by all as the unexpected turns out to be a fun and rewarding experience.  The afternoon is usually set up as a competitive trap shooting event, and everyone learns how to shoot a shotgun a little bit better.  We can tailor the day to anything that you need.  Some companies opt for the afternoon trap shoot the day before the morning goose hunt so everyone can hone their new skills before the hunt.  Let us know your ideas for your corporate team.

Cast and Blast Package Hunts
Cast and Blast Packages are a great reason to visit Alberta in November!  Once November 1st hits, we are allowed to shoot while floating down the world famous blue ribbon Bow River!  Depending on the weather, fly fishing in November can  be some of the best fishing of the year.  On this trip you get to fish all day, and when we get close to birds, its time to set down the rod and stop "casting", don the shotgun, and start "blasting!"  If the weather it too cold for fishing one day, we just to a normal day of field and slough hunting.  Any combination of fishing and field hunting is fine, just let us know what you would like to make your trip enjoyable. Large Groups, and Family Package Hunts
Occasionally if we have a week that is not fully booked up, we can offer single days for large groups, or families that want to give goose hunting and trap shooting a try.  Space is limited, but give us a call and we can tailor a trip for you.             Large Group and Family Packages     

3-Day Trip
All trips includes all hunting gear and professional guide(s).  Prices are per person and are for 3 days of hunting and 4 nights accommodation.  Hevi-steel and Hevi-shot is available at market price for packages that do not include ammunition.  Bird processing is available for $4 per duck, and $6 per goose, for packages that do not include processing.  Benelli SBEII's are available for rent for $100 per person per day.  Accommodation is based on double occupancy, however each person will have their own bed.  Individual rooms are available for an additional charge.

6-Day Trip
All trips includes all hunting gear and professional guide(s).  Prices are per person and are for 6 days of hunting and 7 nights accommodation.  Hevi-steel and Hevi-shot is available at market price for packages that do not include ammunition.  Bird processing is available for $4 per duck, and $6 per goose, for packages that do not include processing.  Benelli SBEII's are available for rent for $100 per person per day.  Accommodation is based on double occupancy, however each person will have their own bed.  Individual rooms are available for an additional charge.

Corporate Day Trip
Trip includes all hunting gear - including steel shot, shotgun (Benelli SBEII), lunch, snacks, beverages, and bird processing.  Prices are per person and are for 1 morning goose hunt, and a trap shoot if time allows.  Heavi-shot is available for an additional $3 per shot.  Minimum 8 people per group.  Overnight trip includes luxury accommodation at the Palliser hotel in Calgary.

Cast and Blast
All trips includes all hunting and fishing gear and professional guides.  Prices are per person and are for 3 days of hunting or fishing, and four nights accommodation.  Hevi-steel and Hevi-shot is available at market price for packages that do not include ammunition.  Bird processing is available for $4 per duck, and $6 per goose, for packages that do not include processing.  Benelli SBEII's are available for rent for $100 per person per day.  Accommodation is based on double occupancy, however each person will have their own bed.  Individual rooms are available for an additional charge.

Large Groups, and Family Packages
Trip includes all hunting gear - including steel shot, shotgun (Benelli SBEII), lunch, snacks, beverages, and bird processing.  Prices are per person and are for 1 morning goose hunt, and 1 afternoon duck hunt or trap shoot.  Heavi-shot is available for an additional $3 per shot.  Overnight trip includes luxury accommodation at the Palliser hotel in Calgary.

Optional gratuities are not included.  If your guide did a good job of calling, scouting and entertaining, he would definitely appreciate a tip.  Most people tip between 10% to 20%.

5% GST (Canadian Tax) will be added to all packages.  There is no provincial Tax in Alberta.

Hunting licenses are included on all but the Lesser package.

A 25% deposit is required upon booking, and payment in full is due 2 months in advance of your trip.

Cancellation – Deposit is fully refundable with 2 months advance notice, and 50% refundable with 30 day advance notice, otherwise your deposit is forfeited unless we are able to book another trip for your dates.

If you return for a fly-fishing trip the next year, you will receive 10% off each day on the water.

Gift Certificates: Fathers Day, Birthday's, Christmas, Retirements, and for Corporate Silent Auctions or just thanking your clients.

All geese must be processed and taken with you.  If you do not want your geese, we can arrange to have it donated to someone that does after it has been processed.  For fishing on the Bow River, we are a catch and release outfitter.
